The sky I shot just as it is from the edge of the Hudson river facing NJ on a late afternoon.
The pyramid I shot just as it is. It is an architectural element with a footprint about the size of a chessboard from a corporate bank building in NYC.
The sea I took from a royalty free photo CD I bought.
The only manipulation I did to the montage was to equalize all the blues of the different photos into the same shade and hue.
Unless you describe me the image you're talking about, I can't help you. Are you referring to the pyramid?
If you have a Mac, itunes has a lot of podcasters that teach PhotoShop tips & tricks, most of them with movie lessons. Even for somebody with my expertise, I find them to be invaluable.
